The Crimean Premier League (comprising 8 teams) is now a professional association football league. It was created in the aftermath of the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation.
The first competitive match was a 2–2 draw between TSK Simferopol and SKChF Sevastopol on 22 August 2015 in front of 4.000 fans.
TSK Simferopol won the first Crimean championship 2015/16
